Hey Guys.
So today in Redlands, California was the Time Trials of the bicycle classic. It was a beautiful day to ride your bike. It was not even to hot outside because cool breeze were coming from all side. It was a great eventful day. So here are my shots of the Time Trial. I believe Stage 1 is tomorrow and the public races are Saturday. But here are the pics.

I see you were in Av mode, why were you using f/13? On such a sunny day, you could have used something lower than ISO 400. Lower your ISO and use a wider aperture. Use something faster than 1/350th as well.

I use AV because I'm still a newb. Been practicing on Manual but I don't have quick reflex to change settings on the go. So AV mode are my training wheels :) I agree that I could shot at a faster shutter speed and I completely forgot to set my ISO down. A newb mistake! Those are things I will remember tomorrow.

Sit, kneel, or lay on the ground. Give us a view that we don't normally see.

Av is perfectly fine. Just open it up a bit more. I typically don't shoot cycling at any aperture smaller than 5.6.

Well Second day was at Beaumont and this was an endurance race. I believe the Men had to do 105 miles while the Women did like 85 miles. Here a few:

I think I did slight better this time. I did do most of my picture at a low aperture that would give me a 500+ shutter speed and my ISO was jumping from 100 to 400 because it was really a foggy race day in the morning until it cleared up at almost end of the race. But overall another good day for racing!
Also I have noticed that I need more reach! I need my return on my tax to get here soon so I can buy a new lens!!

Why are almost all of your shots in portrait orientation? Landscape orientation might make more sense for some of these, but I do like some of them as portrait.
You seem to have mis-focused the last shot, the background is in focus but the bikes are not.

actually I did that purposely. I was trying to do panning shot and wanted to see what would happen if I just took a still camera shot. I like it because the background its clear and the blur of the riders coming.
