My 3 year old daughter, Skylar, was picking flowers in the yard yesterday and I got a couple quick shots that I liked.

She's so pretty. Very good pics and how appropriate her dress had flowers on it.

Wow nice colors and love the bokeh! She is definitely a cutie pie......

I like them both. I'd probably crop both of them a little as follows:
#1 crop the bottom just above the pockets on the dress and crop the right side so that there is more room on her left where she is looking.
#2 crop the top just below the top of the fence (mainly to remove the bright triangular highlight above the fence) and crop the right side, maybe get rid of the tree trunk entirely.

I'm not sure if cropping will make that much difference, but it might be interesting to see how it looks. Just a thought.

Thanks Blossom101! It wasn't planned, my wife and I just went out in the yard to do a little work and she started picking the flowers so I ran to get the camera. :)

Paul, I like your suggestions, I'm on my work computer right now but I'll give the crops a try later this evening. Thanks!

Looks like you're adding a vignette on these shots. Normally I like the effect (especially when it's subtle, as yours are). However, in the second picture especially, it changes the tone of her skin on her legs and that stands out to me. I'd back off on the vignette or push it to the corners. Also, you could up the highlights in the vignette so that her skin brightens up a bit to match what's on her arms and face. The second shot is much "colder" at the bottom (darker) to me.

Love the first shot!

Per Paul's suggestions, here are some crops. I like them, what do you think?

You're right, I added a light vignette in Lightroom. I probably won't be able to get to it until tomorrow but I will remove the LR vignette and re-do it in Photoshop so that I can mask it out a bit more easily. That will be a nice improvement, thanks for pointing it out!
