and this one, i dunno why i love it. it was a 15 second shutter shot, in a pitch black carpark, which made the neon's and glowing badge luminate alot. i had to crop out the girls heads because they were drunk and dancing around during the shot, so they were just a big fat blur.

can someone please give me the harshest of harsh critisism??
i know they look like snap shots, hence i want you to tell me exactly EVERYTHING i did wrong.
i can ONLY take these shots in packed carparks with cars all over the place, people moving everywhere, headlights driving past and ruining my long shutter shots, in really dark carparks -
but i know theres a trick to getting good photos, even in this senario, so start bitching! :D
you can see my whole gallerys (the easternats one was taken with a piss ant camera, ignore those!)
at www.commodoreclub.net/images/photos/index.php
so please, tell me how to better my cruise night photography!
i have an IXUS 30 and a tripod :D

second one is ok, but I don't like that you cut half of guys sitting on a roof... it is kinda darkish and not sharp, but pic is good

Matt, perhaps if you posted this in the "transportation" section rather than "sports" you might get some more responses?

I think the pan is the more skilled and better shot of the two. It gives a good impression of movement and being dark, it certainly would have taken alot more practise to get right.
As for the exa...well there simply isnt much to the shot at all, the car/models are not much to look at the cars beside it are distracting and the brightness of the back ground takes away from the car itself. I would certainly try a different location and shoot it again if it is the car that you want to capture. Although neons make for interesting night shots it doesnt take away from the fact that its awfully ricey.
