first photo shoot, mom & daughter

This was my first photo shoot and it is of a friend of mine and her daughter. For lighting, So far I only have a 420ex which I bounced off the ceiling and a 500w white umbrella light. On the white BG pictures I used a small floodlight as BG lighting as well.

Please, Let me know where I can improve. I removed the color to the B&W pics and played a little with contrast and brightness, the color one's I have not fiddled with yet.

Nice shots.
In BW images, teeth whitenning may be in order. At times BW conversions just don't come out right for whites.
