Tricking 230 to always flash

Anybody have any tricks and getting the 230 to always flash?
I wish it were a setting.
I've tried covering (what I think is) the sensor, no luck.

If you want the S230 to always flash, switch to manual settings ("set" then select "M" using the pad).

In this mode, when selecting the flash mode, you will have more modes available than in Auto, and especially what you are looking for : a "forced" flash mode (the arrow with no other symbol).
