20d numbering messed up....

I have about 14,000 pics on my 20d so far, and normally, it names the files 'IMG_****' ..... All of a sudden however, it has started naming all the files '_MG_****'


What happened to the 'I' at the beginning?

Hey Bad look at this thread http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61550down in the thread he mentions changing the color space and it changed the file names. I beleive if you changed for sRGB color space (img.xxx) to adobe RGB it goes to mg.xxx.

Yep, changing to adobe RGB changes the first char of the filename to an _. This is part of some offical specification I think.

ah, ok... thats what happened then :) I decided to play around with adobe rgb today.
