I bought this pair of cheap fishing glasses from Wal-Mart. I love looking through them. I was trying to find a lens filter to simulate the effect.

It's amber greenish in tint, heavily polarized.

Greens, especially foliage seems more vivid.

Contrast seems improved.

I'm not very familiar at all with lens filters. I have a Hoya R72 IR, and a Cir-Polarizer.

Not sure if this is the correct forum, perhaps accessories?

What you are seeing through the fishing glasses is probably more in tune with what you would get with a polarizer filter.

There is a polarizing filter combined wtih an 81 series warming filter created by Moose Peterson which would give you the same effect.

Point is ... you won't need a warming filter on a digital camera, because the camera will do a white balance anyway and render the effect of the warming filter void. That also means that the warming filter could be simulated in PS or in RAW conversion.

You need a warming filter if you want to shoot slide film.

Best regards,

But how big do they make the fish look? :)
