WOW!!! I can't say I've ever seen a turkey fly before! DO they fly? Or do they just sort of "glide" to another location?

The way the turkey is placed on the first photo makes it look like a giant bird wanting to cross the road :)

Oh Believe me wild turkeys fly and fly quite well, they even roost (sleep) in the trees. unlike there barnyard cousins.. who can't get off the ground. You're not dumb, an awful lot of people don't realize that wild turkeys can fly.

Nice capture. We are seeing more and more wild turkeys here and they really are fast flyers for such large birds.
