Manfrotto 714B Digi comments? Other tripods under $200 for gift?

Cousins are getting me a tripod for my 21st and their budget is about $200, I think... This tripod looks half-decent for that much - anyone have it or know about it? I fiddled with it in the shop and it looked pretty nifty for portability and it's 163cm high when folded out, which is only 10cm shorter than me :p

Any other suggestions for a tripod for AU$200 or less?

That's the tripod I plan on getting as soon as I scrape up the cash. Unless you're putting some heavy duty glass on it, it should work great for you.

I have the 714B with the ball head and I have been using it for about 2 months now. I really like it in that it is super portable and it is surprising sturdy for its light weight. If you are going to get this tripod though, I highly recommend also picking up the Manfrotto Quick Release Head for it. Screwing the tripod into the camera mount is a real pain in the butt with this model since you either have to trun the entire tripod or the entire camera to screw it in. I got the quick release for either 29 bucks (could have been 39, not sure) from bhphotovideo.com and it has made for a great combo. Enjoy.
