View Full Version : Posting Time and Date

Is there any reason that the forum includes hours/days/weeks since posted rather than the actual date and time of posting? I note that the system keeps track of the time of my last visit, so apparently it has that capacity. The forums that I regularly visit uniformly include date and time in the body of the post and elapsed time at the forum summary. It is bit confusing to have to shift gears when I want to determine who said what, and when, without having to resort to a calendar.

OK, this is old, but I just saw it and I have to say not seeing the actual post date and time really does annoy me. It's just one of those silly things that bugs me about this software, every single time I see it.

Yours doesn't say when the person posted?

Nope, right now it says that I posted "4 days ago" and the original post was posted "2 weeks ago"

I'd rather see "Posted Friday July 5 at 4:15 PM" or whatever.

I would say a combination would be nice.

For example if posted with 24 hours then the notation "posted 1 hour ago" would be fine. After that a real date and time would be better.
