Hey all:
I hear a lot about Tamron and Sigma, not so much Tokina...I am really considering the Tokina ATX Pro 12-24mm wide angle, it is getting some rave reviews, and I am wondering what anyone's experience may be with their lenses. Usually I hear, generally (on the ATX series):
Great build quality, tank-like.
Sharp images
Very comparable, sometimes better than Nikon or Canon
Great Quality Control (unlike Sigma)
Haven't heard of any compatibility problems.
I could be totally off-base, I haven't been able to see or use a lens by them, as no one nearby carries them (looks like B&H time!).
Anyway, thoughts on this as I have $500 burning a hole in my pocket and don't want to spend upto $1000 on a Canon (if I don't have to, no offense to the Canon Gods - I love 'em man!)
