Hi Potn, today me and my fiancee made 10 years and to put the golden seal on our anniversary we decided to get married this year, today we made our second guestlist draft and booked our photographer, which btw is an awesome person and truely gifted with talent...ohh and a fellow POTN'er...ill keep it a secret though :)
I made a post asking for help since this is a budget wedding and so many of you were so nice and willing to help me out, but this person had me sold at the first picture i saw on his blog. For this I thank you anonymous POTNer.
I will also like to take this momment to thank everyone who responded, i will be replying to all of your pms, im very grateful to the users of this board for their response when I asked for help.

So after searching and thinking of where to host our ceremony, our very own wedding planner and friend thought of central park, i wasnt too thrilled, being that the idea is soooo unoriginal, but i gave it a shot and visited The Conservatory Garden at Central Park NYC, i was blown away, this is like a photographers dream, the park is not at its full potential being that we are just coming out of a rough winter, but this place in the summer must be amazing, i immediately got a money order and payed the fee they charge, being that this is somewhat of a private section of the park...im so excited...lol

So today we continued our rush planning, we stumbled accross BcakeNY thru a google search, turns out this would be probably the easiest decision so far, we set up an appointment with Miriam (very nice a pleasent)...she then prepared 4 different flavors of cake, we loved all of them!...great way to build trust and win your customers over, dont ask for money upfront, just let your job reel em in....and this is what she did with us!....please visit her website and if you are planning an event in the NYC area give her a shot, shes awesome.

So here is the story behind our invites. We went crazy for about a week and a half looking for a spot to order wedding invitations from, looked at a few Invite sample books and came back with the conclusion that we did now want to spend $300+ on some invites that to be honest were not out of this world, we then decided it be more fun to sort of do em ourselves!...so we went to our local party supply store (Michael's) and got this kit that came with 40 invites + RSVP cards + envelopes! and they were only 30$!...what a steal, then we went to our local print shop (Alphagraphics) and asked how much it would be to print on these?...the total was 72$ add the 30$ we spent on the kit and we were at 102$ with over 200$ in savings!!...They are not invitations to drool over for years, but IMO they are wayyyyy better than what we saw at these stores we visited!

Hey POTN world, im back with an update...everything is coming together quite nicely, im starting to think i should put this into a blog instead...lol.
Anyways, I got my Fiancee her wedding gift a little early, i had to otherwise she would go out and spend her money on some other shoes, i figured since we saved on the dress and the dress happens to be short (btw i havent seen it, just going by what she has decided to tell me about it) then why not go all out on the shoes??...so yes, i searched and searched for a pair in which she would look like a princess on her wedding day and we found these Loubotins!...they remind me of the shoes Dorothy wore in The Wizard of Oz...lol.
