Hi all, this was my first attempt shooting any kind of sports. I'd love to get some feedback on where I went wrong, or what I can improve.

Thanks!

Great shots!! Did you use flash. Looks like there was natural light coming for high windows? I don't really see much to improve on. #s 2 & 4 might bump up the exposure a little, but the other two look good. Good action, nice crop, sharp...nice pics in my opinion.

Thanks!

No flash, all were shot with 1DII + 135L except for the first one (30D + 135L). EXIF should be intact. I was lucky to have such great light filtering in from those windows...

Does anyone think these are good enough to offer to parents to buy?

I do.

You've done a nice job on a difficult sport. These are terrific for the first time out! Keep shooting volleyball and sell those images.

Yes, they are. Indoor volleyball with goo color, no motion blur, no distinct yellow tint ... these are very very good.

You should see the junk people sell around here ...

go with it!

Thanks guys! This is all very encouraging. Now it's time for me to design a business card to hand out to parents. Any tips/suggestions?

Any tips/suggestions? Get a smug mug account or printroom or the like. Many use zenfolio.

good luck

Try 123print.com for your cards...nice designs and good pricing, and you can use your own logo. Hope this helps

Nice shots! I would definately be trying to support the hobby's expenses with shots like those.
