nests and dens

ok, spring has sprung up here in Tok, alaska,

so im waiting for one of my favorite owl nests to open up with young ones,

but im wondering if foxes re-use dens, there was one i found last year with
4-little ones that didnt have a mom/dad, and they did survive,through the summer and fall

anyone know anything about them,habits, ect,

im not to keen on a 2 mile hike in all this snow,

As far as I know foxes are quite oppertunistic with stealing dens of other spcies (eg rabbit) and will also resuse old denning spots. So there is a chance that if any of the cubs survived through the winter that they might very well return to the home den = especailly if the parents/dominant fox in that area is no longer around to contest ownership.
