WOW i just recalibrated my LCD at home. this past weekend had a snaffu with printing and found it was my monitor that was not calibrated properly what i saw on the screen WAS NOT what was on the print. And after editing raw photos and spending the time and money to do it right I can see why so many guys on the photo forums feel this way......"dont print a damn thing tell you calibrate your screen" its a waste of time and wow what a difference it makes what you see is what you get. Its unbelievable the just how off our screens are.
The snafu was doing a B/W 8x10 print when it printed it was nothing like i had adjusted the raw photo on my screen it was literally unuseable.
After that the second print i i did an auto adjust and let it fly and it came out so so.....the mother loved the print and was wantign me to shoot more... however i learned my lesson..
I went and used the eye one or some such device with monitor spyder etc and recal my screen.
I was just shocked!
