I know I've been harping on about tripods of late but I forgot to mention the support I use when I'm 'NOT' on a photo trip (but smuggled a camera with me :lol: )
I have a (cheap for photogear) EXPED VIEWFINDER....a brilliant trekking pole with a nice big wooden knob at the top that unscrews to reveal...yes, a camera screw.....cheap at about £20 and superbly well made.
