I'll be shooting a portrait (standard studio headshot) of a woman who is very thin and has a very narrow face. Any suggestions for how to light her in a way that would be most flattering? This is a corporate headshot, so I'm not looking for glamour, but I do want to make her look her best.

Thanks.

Yes I agree with digitalphotocandy. Broad lighting should help a lot. Broad lighting is when you light the side facing the camera. In other words, Ket the girl turn her face slightly left (your right) with the main light then coming from her right - thus hitting the broadest exposed area of her face. This tend to make faces look bigger. So do not use this for bigger woman - they will prefer short lighting i.e in our example main lighting from the model's left - the direction she her face is turned to.
