My first ever sunsets so critique very welcome.

I like the first image very much, Martin. The Sun is so large that I think you must have been using a telephoto? The horizon looks pretty hazy, so I imagine there would not have been a chance to see a green flash just as the top of the Sun dipped into the horizon. Any one know if there are any photos of a green flash on this forum?

I like the way the people in the first picture are oblivious to the camera. It makes for a much more natural feeling to the photo...well done on both!

Thanks all. Both taken with a 100-400L, the first @ 400mm, 1/100-f5.6 (hand held) and the second @ 100mm, 1/80-f18.

I think both of those pictures are outstanding. I've always liked the look of dark foreground subjects with the light from behind. Both are suitable for framing.
