Costco Sandisk Ultra II's

Costco currently has 2 8GB Sandisk Ultra II's for $40. Will this be fine for my Rebel XSi? Keep in mind it would be nice to have something future proof if I get the T2i or it's sucessor and need to use these cards for video. Thanks.

Are you talking about the Sandisk 8gb CF cards that are marked 30MB/s? Or are you talking about the SD cards?

If you are talking about the CF cards (30MB/s), yes they are very good. They are the basically the same specs as the now discontinued Extreme III line.

I was at Costco and you're right, the price is $26.99 ea after the instant discount. These cards work great in my 50D!

Will the 15mbs SD card work well with T1i video? My wife is using 30mbs SD cards now but wants another card or two. The CF Ultra II's cards should work well enough for my 40D, will have to stop by and pick one up tomorrow.

I use Sandisk 8GB Ultra II's (15mbs) with my T1i on 720p and haven't noticed any issues when taking video. I've never attempted 1080p, however.

I picked me up one of these at Costco. It's the new Ultra line rated at 30mb/s. You can't go wrong. On par with my Extreme III.

Just to clarify...The 8gb SDHC's are not the new Ultra's but Ultra II @ 15MB burst.
