Had good day following the historic section of the Bulldog rally at the weekend,Still having af issues with the AF on my 7D but here's some the better shots from Saturday!

Hi Pete,

Nice set of pics..
Pic 1: The look of concentration is just brill
Pic 2:I like cause it's different as u dont c that many shots taken in portrait style
Pic 7: Again it's different cause it's in b/w, which is very nice.
Pic 8: Can't beat phil collins ascona but not as nice as his escort mk2 which is just stunning car.

A very good variety of pics.

These are crackers , the Avenger shot is timeless , Porsche awesome, inside shots spot on......

Yes,i have been reading the other thread about the 7D af with great interest,my problem seems to be a back focus issue when tracking moving objects, & i always use ai/servo mode :confused:

No,my 70-200 doesn't have IS & from what i hear, most people turn it off for motorsport anyway?

Great pictures, anymore tips? I'm heading to a rally event in a couple of weeks.

I'll probably be shooting with a 1D's MKII and a 70-200 F/4

Pete,

Having another look at these bad boys, the Sandvik Escort shot is just the spit of the Malcolm Wilson Grizedale BDA shot, panning perfect, and how that front wheel leans forward in the arch, check out both shots, fantastic angles.... whats the next outing for yourself ?, Off to the Granite City next weekend, inlaws in Nairn, so an hour and a half from the stages.....
