Nice series. I really like the ones where the man looks at his lady and you can see in his eyes, "I'm so lucky!"

nice but all the pics look soft for some reason...some sharpening maybe needed.

Hey Suzy, how's come you allow more than two photos in this thread but not others? There is no favortism here , is there?
BTW, #4 is too close and #5 is the best in this series as it seem romantic and natural.

I love #5. I like the softness and the looks in their eyes. :)

#5 is my favourite by far.
With #1, there is a lot of dead space in the top-third of the exposure. I think it takes away from the image than adding.

Rules say maximum 2 attached photos and maximum of 8 embeded photos.

Thanks for pointing that out. How do I know if someone "attached" or "embeded" their images? All I see are images in the thread. How do you "embed" images here?

I like them, but it started to creep up on me that the guy never smiled with his teeth showing...she has a nice huge, toothy smile. I would like to see him reciprocate :)
Maybe he did in others but not these?

This one she is kind of soft

and this one her hair was everywhere. Very hard to clean in photoshop because of the different tones the background has.

I like the series. One minor nitpick, is that the depth of field may be too shallow on a few of these which also could have led to the "soft" comments. It might just be my personal preference, but on #1, 4, 6 and the first shot in the second series, a less shallow depth of field would have allowed both subjects to be entirely in focus.

attached are in a big box with the word attachment.
embedded are hosted on a site like Flickr and a link for the picture is put in between image tags so when you hit submit the picture looks like it was designed to be put on this page.
and i can't believe you accused a mod of favoritism. you may have wanted to clarify the rules before doing that. and you've been a member for 5 years!

I have to keep this in mind on the ones I want both faces in focus. Thanks for pointing this out. The second series I definitely wanted both faces sharp. Should have used maybe f4.0 or f5.6. I was at f1.8 on both of those not sure what I was thinking at that time.

This is a common mistake I find myself making as well. I like shallow depth of field, but sometimes you've just got to stop down to come out with a good group shot. It takes a lot of practice to really get the depth of field right where you want it IMO.

No, I have not read that rule. My sincere apology to Suzy and anyone else I offended. I have never "embedded" any image of mine anywhere, so this is the first time I have heard of that. I guess I am technically challenged
P.S. Sorry OP, this is not meant to hijack your thread.

just use a site like Flickr or any one of the photo hosting sites. go to the photo you want to upload and grab the URL. there is a little yellow box in the toolbar that if you hover over it with your mouse will say "insert image". click it and you can paste the URL and the image will show up, embedded, in the post.
technically challenged is a state of mind.

Yeah too bad that one of them is out of focus in some, usually good to keep them both sharp
