So I found this place that looks like it would be really cool to shoot at. The problem is there are no trespassing signs all over the place and it's owned by a property development company. It's a ol run down historic building. So the question is do I contact the company and ask to shoot on the property or just jump the fence? I know the what the fines are if I was to get caught but would like to do this proper if posible.

the obvious answer is ask permission first. If you are prepared to surrend gear, pay fines, etc if you get caught, then jump the fence. Oh yeah- ask your model what she's willing to accept for risk, too.

I'd definitely try to get permission first.
