So I currently own 3 camera bags. One is the Burton Zoom which I use for all of my shoots, it carries all of my gear and more. The other is a Lowepro Slightshot 200AW which holds my body and a lens or two and the other just fits my XTi and thats it.
Now that it is warming up, I'm wanting to take my 5dmk2 every day but I'm finding it difficult to find a bag in which I could also stuff an extra layer in, a book and a lunch. One thing to consider, I'm currently a public transit user so it cannot be too bulky along with enough room in it that I can include the above in.
I'm currently using a LowePro Transit laptop bag but I'm sketched about carrying my camera in it as it has nothing to protect it or seperate it from everything else I carry.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a bag? Price isn't a concern. Mobility, size and how much it can hold is what I'm looking for.
Thanks!

Ever consider a neoprene camera cover? Op/tech and Zing make nice ones. I love mine as it enables me to put my camera in any bag.

I own this one:

I've used it on an Xsi, T2i, 40D and Nikon D90.
If you go to the op/tech website there are multiple sizes:

Probably one the of the Domke's that looks like a laptop carrier. I forget the series but they are pretty nice. Exactly like laptop bags/women's business purses made to carry alot ina thin sleek bag. I used my laptop bag as a camera bag for awhile and it would have held exactly what you require. Heck, it did when I had to go to school for awhile, before I went online.

The Domke cloths

Just wrap your 5D in it. I have lots of bags and when I can't figure out what to do, I get this out and just wrap my 5D with 24-70 and call it good.
But if you are considering one small camera bag and then use a regular bag for the other items, the Domke 5XB is minimal, can fit the 5DII with one lens and maybe a flash, and that's it. I love that bag and still carry it even if I have a purse. Doesn't make life harder, easier all the way.

I go to uni on public transport 4 days a week and use a Lowepro Fastpack 250. It does everything I need it to and it's a nice bag overall. I'd already had this bag from last year but I only used it a couple of times and I didn't like it at the time, so I looked at the ThinkTank Urban Disguise series. Great bags. The UD50 or UD60 is what I would have gone with if I'd ended up buying one. If you don't have a laptop, I believe the UD40 is the same as the UD50, just without the laptop compartment. But the compartment doesn't take anything away from the UD50 and it's probably useful to have for magazines, newspapers, etc. if you don't throw a laptop in there.
If you want a backpack, the Fastpack range from Lowepro is a good one. The 250 is a good size, as is the 200, as it's just the 250 without the laptop compartment. If you want a shoulder bag, go for an Urban Disguise from ThinkTank. As I said, I ended up keeping and using my Fastpack for two reasons. One is because of the weight. I didn't want to be carrying a shoulder bag with a 14" laptop and a 1D2+24-70L in there everyday. It might have gotten that little bit uncomfortable for extended periods of time, even though the bag is amazingly comfortable to wear and hold. Second is because of the price. I just wasn't able to spend AU$250 on a bag at the time

The Urban disguise bag is always what I recommend if you need a laptop most of the time. But it is pricey, but well worth it. I am getting the largest one soon, but I don't need it yet.

Also, consider the Kata 466 or 467.
