Does anyone know of any sites carrying videos or video samples created with the Powershot S230 (aka IXUS V3) or even better, the new S400 (aka IXUS 400)?

I tried all the usual Canon sites, but they don't have any sample videos.

Thanks!

I have a couple.
This is me skiing and it has a fun ending. :)

Here are some I took of a friend of mine at the track.

I have some of me, but they were taken by a G2, if you're interested in those. The pictures, however, were taken with my S230.

They're on the page:

Dear Scott

Hi!

Would you email me a (short less than 3 megabytes) video from your G3. I am particularly interested in a video of a well lit scene with a person talking as I would like to find a camera to take videos of this type of scene. Is the G3 fairly sharp in video mode - obviously it won't be as sharp as in high resolution mode, And also, how does it compare to taking videos with a digital video camera. If I only need short clips, will videos created on the G3 compare to those recorded on a digital video camera.

I am also interested in the remote capture capabilities of the G3, In particular I am looking for a live capture capability that would allow me to use the G3 as a web camera, or to record directly to my hard disk. Does it have such a capability?

Thanks/Phil Troy PhilTroy@Mail.com

Jason: take a look at the reviews of s230 and s400 here:

The reviews have video clips. I can tell you I chose s230 over s400 because s230 has better video clip (VGA). I string the video clips together using virtualdub to produce a movie. This is a compromise that I can carry the s230 in my pants pocket when I travel and I can take good quality still images and video clips. Very good comproise indeed.

Well, I sure wish they would post the correct video codec file for us to convert .avi to .asf files ! I have downloaded from everywhere, including Microsoft and all the little places I could find on google.com but have not found one yet.

In the meantime I have RealVideo ones, compressed from 7 megs down to 1.5 megs (25 second video tests) that were made of two cute dogs. These are at

If anyone has the correct video codec to be used with the Canon S400 please let me know. Thanks.
