Dave's post yesterday got me inspired for my first game tonight. I was a bit rusty and the team I was covering got beat by 15 runs so hopefully the next game will be better on both fronts.
1. It is easier to sell the out to the ump when you actually have the ball.

Thanks Dave. Funny you say that. There were at least a dozen times tonight I thought to myself, I wish I had Dave's 300. :-) Shooting spots on this field are really limited and the 400 is at times just too much. Fortunately, I knew the umpires so they let me be in foul territory along the fence basically by the outfield which gave me enough room to breath.

Looks good Kevin. I had both and sold the 300, it just wasn't getting used enough.

6 would be absolutely killer if he was looking or acting into the frame.

#1. Good try by the catcher!
Overall, they're all very nice. Excellent focus, WB and color saturation. 400mm huh? I'm still drooling for the 300 f/2.8 IS but it'll likely have to wait until football season this September.
Keep 'em coming!

Lip-reading a bit, the coach is either saying "Nice shot!" or maybe "You ****-head!"

Most of the fields have a good amount of space in foul territory so the 400 is normally just fine, this field is the exception. I just want a 300 because I have a lust for nice lenses.

Thanks Adam. I agree. I only had the sun hitting like that for about 10 minutes and never had a good shot with them looking the other way. When I did, the shadows were wrong. He was looking back at the ump and was my only shot where most of the face was lit. I love those unique light moments just wish I could have got a little better shot.

Thanks Dave. It was nice to get the 400 out and use it. I miss it every day through the winter.

Actually it was a caveman like grunt. :-)
Very nice Kevin.
Thanks Danny.

Great crisp, well cropped shooting, I could not see any flakes of rust in any of your shots. Put me down for a buy one get one free coupon for a 400 and a 300.

Thanks. I posted photos of the shiny hood but also had a lot of rusty fenders that did not make the cut. :-)
