I love this car...

I know some of you purists will hate the HDR, that's ok :) I was going for the outrageous painterly look...

Looks like someone was careless with the wax ;)

I like it! I wish VW still made keys like that, instead of the switchblades.

 hehe. Yea, I don't wash it anymore since the Lacquer is so sensitive so I began using waterless spray from mothers... Apparently it leaves stupid swirls. Summer's coming up, I guess time to get out the buffing kit.

I was lucky to get 2 original keys from the og owner.. People have a hard time believing keys came like that.

Thanks JTW. It's still got the original 1200. I've kept it completely stock, aside from a new headliner and seat covers.

Love all the shots. That would look good parked next to my 69 VW Camper Bus.

You need to drive that to the Antiques Roadshow...might be worth a bunch.

You really make me miss my '58 Beetle :(
It was unique because it had those funky semaphore turn signals instead of American market blinkers. I sold it for $500 a while back and the guy put it in his basement and has not touched it. I asked him about buying it back and he just laughed.

Love the shots and the car. They just don't make 'em the same today, do they? Oh well. Yours is an excellent example and a keeper. Nice work.

Very nice shots. Really makes me nostalgic for my first car, a '67 beetle. That car was really something. I bought it with over 100k miles and I finally sold it it had over 250k. I went everywhere with it. It was a fantastic little workhorse.
