Compact Flash Type I vs Type II

I was going to purchase a PCMCIA CF reader for my laptop. I know the 4 Gig microdrive is a Type II device.

I just wanted to know whats the difference? Is the SanDisk Ultra II or Extream III also a type II or type I device?

Any Help?

The difference is in the thickness. Type I cards are 3.3mm thick and Type II cards are 5mm thick. All Sandisk compact flash cards are Type I
