The Kennesaw State Owl's took on the #2 ranked GA Tech squad this week.
It was a great scoring game with very little defensive action to capture. The under dog Owl's defeated the migthy Yellow Jacketes.

Nice!
I think there is just too much going on in your #2 shot, but that is just me. (I get the story . . . ball and runner getting to 2nd base at almost the same time and all, but visually there is just too much distraction with the ump and outfielder)
I like the sharpness/crispness of 4 and 6.
Shoot more, post more.

Thanks for the comments.
I can understand you point about #2...but sometimes good play by the team (the 2nd baseman and the outfielder) backing up the key player is unavoidable, unless the team sucks of course.
What drives me nuts is all the dang advertising around the field....but once again you do what you can do.

Really good timing in those shots--even when the ball is not in play. Nice series.

4-6 are your strongest IMO. The rest are just eh. In fact, I look at 5, and I go " did the photographer taking this shot really take these others?"
Something to look at, 2 is automatically a toss, because of the oof umpire it ruins the entire shot. If he hadnt been there, it would have been stellar.

I tried to tell him that #2 goes out.

See the other player doesnt bother me, but the ump blocks the player.. There is no need for that shot to be included. It was great timing and as harley said - sometimes it is unavoidable. But because it is unavoidable and you catch it, does not mean it needs to be included. as I said. It is a great shot, but it is bummer that the ump was in front of the play.

Love the light in #5. Really makes that image pop.

I really like the frozen ball in #2... Maybe just a touch of the incoming runner is enough to tell the story...

#5 and #6 are my favorites from this set. Good work overall. Were you using the 70-200 or the 300?

Yup...curse of the umpire.
These were done with the MKIII and 300 2.8 IS.
Thanks for all the comments.

I like your pitcher shots. I have to agree about the crop on the 2B photo as well, I think it works better.
