Umbrella Brackets Suck !!!!

Is it just me or what.... I like to shoot strobist stlye.. Soo I use all this minimalist stuff and I have this unwieldy bracket that I have to jam in somewhere. Are there any other options or smaller brackets out there?

The stand is a raven 8'..It is a light weight one.

My complaint is that is bulky. The lever is really adds to the bulk. Functionally it does do its job.

Well youre first problem was you were using Impact stuff... I use the Bogen ones and they are top quality. Never had an issue with them. I tried the Impact ones first and a few other things by them a long time ago, have stayed away from their products since.

I, too, use the Bogen (Manfrotto) 026 Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-Tite) (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/546375-REG/Manfrotto_026_026_Swivel_Umbrella_Adapter.html). In my opinion, it is one of the best of the breed. It is extremely versatile, allowing me to do a variety of things with it. The lever is really an advantage over ordinary knobs.
