I like the aesthetic and the (i hate using this word) juxtaposition between the past and present, but I'm having trouble finding the conceptual link between why he is on the cross and the modern background. I also think the sneakers need to go.
If it is purely an aesthetic representation of the crucifixion, I'd want to see the link to modern times taken out. If it's a statement about the effects of society on modern youth, and how that relates to the crucifixion, I need to see that link developed further.
You've basically got the image nailed down, but the concept needs development into a complete expression imo. If anything just get the sneakers out of there!
