New to cameras and I am trying to use the video recorder. I successfully recorded the movie and can play it back on the camera but I am having trouble getting it to playback on my computer. The manual says to use Quicktime 3.0 or higher and I have tried this along with WMP and Windows Movie Maker. The message is "Quciktime cannot recognize this file type". Any suggestions? Thanks.

i just recorded a small video with mine, and i opened it in bsplayer (avi extension), don't know about the codec it is stored though

also opened without any problems in media player 10, winamp and quicktime 7 player

maybe you should check what video codecs you have installed, try installing divx6 or xvid if you don't have them

The Divx website was in Japanese and I didn't really want to downlaod the language thing but I did download BS player and it opened the movie fine. Thanks very much.
