Just wondering if buying a cheap hood for my 24-70L worth it?

I found a lot of EW-83F equivalent on Ebay (Hongkong) for $15 or less.

I mean, buying an OEM hood is around $50 .

Anyone here interested in selling their used OEM EW-83 lens hood for a bargain price?

Thanks!

I always have the hood on my 24-70. I'd rather bash the large hood than the end of the lens its self, not that I've ever bashed the lens, it's just peace of mind really.

You should be sure that any clone of the Canon hoods have the flocking on the inside to help reduce stray light problems. I've read that some of the cheapie clones are not true clones in this respect.
