So yeah I'm looking to get a flash bracket. I've been looking at the stroboframe Press-T and Pro-T.

I will be using a Rebel XT on it and even perhaps a battery grip. I have a 420ex.

Should I go with the Pro-T? It's not much of a price difference according to B&H (Just $3 more). Or is it just too big for the XT?

What parts will I need if I get one of these brackets. I hear I need an anti slip plate. I also need a shoe mount for the top to mount the 420ex right? I already have access to a canon off camera shoe cord. Are these parts all I need or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance. Your help is greatly appreciated. =)

You need a Canon Off the Shoe Cord 2. The anti slip plate is optional.

So I don't need a mounting hot shoe or something for the bracket?

I keep hearing that the cork anti slip one the bracket comes with is horrible. So i might have to go ahead and get that plate.

Jackal,

I have the Pro-RL and the mount base w/cork is more than sufficient. The Pro-T has a smaller camera base which conforms to a Strobo QR plate. Due to the less cork area, buying a anti-slip plate is not going to do any harm.

The shoe cord 2 comes with a screwable base. I went with purchasing the extra hot shoe mount from Strobo in case I wanted to use the flash off bracket. This extra mount is not necessary if you do not believe you'll ever do this (or even then, if you don't care about unscrewing it from the bracket).

Personnally, I'd recommend the Pro-RL over the Pro-T due to it's versatility.
