Shot my first full day wedding and with my brand new 5D Mark 2 and my 50D as backup. All I can say is....I nearly died! Anyway here are some photos.

Congrats! It is not as easy as some pros have portrayed it, is it? You did a good job. The images are sharp and exposures and bokeh are good. Keep at it. You may have found a new hobby. And the 5D2! Yeah, tell me about it. :) I love mine. Try the 7D, too. I have that as my 2nd body. It's amazing. My lenses are so happy.

Amazing eye for details. I love all the angles and the BW of the bride is simply beautiful. Superb!!

looks like you got some harsh light during the ceremony.

First wedding? Wow, that's really good for a first wedding. Love all the photos. As someone already mentioned, ceremony lighting probably gave you a hard time; but none the less great job.

Edit: Oh, first wedding with a 5D mark II :) But none-the-less great job!

The only critique would be the shadow on G's face in #5.

#6 and #7 are SHURE wins for me.

Thanks for sharing.

I really appreciate these words digitalphotocandy. I hope this allows me to be a little different to other wedding photographers in the business :)

Great angle on the cake shot! Love the hand shot #6

Thanks, Rhinotherunt...I visited the location 1 weekend prior to the wedding and saw this shot in my head, so all I did was execute it!

Very nice work!

WOW I have to say you guys have a very very good eye! Yes, it was an absolutely shocking 100% sun at 12noon kinda day...I was suffering from overexposure and shadows so much, any suggestions though? I really need to learn to overcome it. It was giving me the ****s to be honest.

I'd try next time to use a little fill flash for shots like #5. If you're unsure on how much to use, just set it to ETTL and fire a test shot then go from there. I'd also watch your horizons, as some of the shots have some angle to them.

Other than that good job for a first time!

if you think about it. The only way to get rid of those harsh sunlight and shadows is to have control of your subject (which you don't during a ceremony). So the best way to go about it is to prevent it from happening in the first place. Talk to the B&G prior, and discuss and try to dissuade them from having their ceremony at noon, perhaps move it to 3 or 4 pm, or have them change the location to somewhere there's shade, under a tree would be perfect.

Oh and as for the suggested fill flash. any on camera stuff is not gonna be any where near the sun especially if your not that close. Maybe if you had some high power studio lights setup you can do it, but that's way too much liability imo.
