This wedding was at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Alabama. Lots of spectators and GWCs. (Guys/Gals with cameras). IT WAS NUTS! Was supposed to be blocked off... well that did not happen.

#5 Is surely the best one :)
I like #4 but not the cropped dress
I love the location for the first one but her pose is not flattering to her figure :)
nice and bright images

very crisp n clean photos, Ryan. love this location! Diggn' the groom shot... He looks very dapper... just like a groom should!
The last one is the wall hanger for me. I love how the Cherry Blossom (at least that's what they look like) trees frame the shot. Just beautiful :)

The gardens were quite beautiful. I do not think anyone could take a bad location shot!

It was absolutely awe inspiring there. Funny thing is the groom said he does not photograph well. The bride is real into deviant artwork. So, I need to grunge these up. Maybe add some textures or something.

If anyone has some ideas on adding some grunge or textures to encapsulate the type of work found on deviant art... feel free to edit.

My thoughts on the grunge thing...sort of like mc hammer pants, they were so cool then but oh so embarrassing now. I would suggest to the bride, maybe purchasing two different styles somehow, one grungy for her friends, Facebook, deviant, etc. But the other style should be timeless and beautiful like the shots above. Otherwise she'll be feeling like a 90 yr old lady with a tramp stamp some day. Not so cool :)

Were you using a flash for fill light? With a diffuser?

I'm still learning and I absolutely love wedding photography!

I like the last one. The only crit on this is the tree growing out of his head. I think the first few are very good.

so how do you like that sigma 70-200, not to hijack that thread but I need a lens with a wider aperature and I'm just not quite ready (financially) for the canon one yet.

btw, these pics are great.

Yes, flash on a bracket. Diffuser on some. Just put a coffee filter infront of the flash.

I like the last one. The only crit on this is the tree growing out of his head. I think the first few are very good.
Those evil trees!!! :) Thanks for the crit.
