It's time I cleaned my sensor, the 'boogers' are starting to show up even at f16 now which I use quite a lot.

Haven't done this before so I don't have the kit for it but I have read many posts about the different ways of doing it and I want to try a combination of blower and cleaning pads.

I found this 'kit' on ebay, does it have everything I need and does it look any good? Anyone used this vendor before? They have a good feedback rating.

Cheers,

Nick

I just want to know if this is the right stuff to get before I order it.

Thanks.

You cant go wrong with that kit, i have never used the seller, but it has all the components for a top ccd cleaner !

You can buy the pec pads and eclipse cleaner from http://www.crown-digital.co.uk for half that price and that's all you need (plus a home-made spatula) to do the copper hill method. That's what I did.

Are those things reusable? And only 10? On rare occasions i'll need 10 swipes to get the sensor clean, mainly when i've been mucking around inside the camera and cleaning the mirror etc. Usually one or two is enough.

I use this system (http://www.pbase.com/copperhill/ccd_cleaning), one of the oldest and best methods around. The kit sent to NZ didn't include the eclipse fluid, I bought that from Australia.

Hi Nick

You can buy all the same stuff from Warehouse Express for pretty much the same price. Get a pack of 100 pec pads too and you can use the Digipads to make a Copperhill kit. Just take the material off the spatula when it's been used once and follow the Copperhill instructions.
