Morning Mist on the Brathay

Taken early one morning last week on the river Brathay in the English Lake District.

This is beautiful indeed! The only thing is that the rock protuding from the water leads my eye to it a lot. I'd suggest either eliminating it, or if you like it there, toning it down a few notches. This must've a "picture perfect" morning!

Thanks for that reply Dancad, that was one of the reasons I put this shot up.
I couldn't make my mind up if the rock enhanced the shot or detracted from it. :?
I tried cropping to the panorama type format but wasn't sure.
I'll try toning it down a bit.

Thanks guys, I'm coming around to the second shot. Maybe it's because I always favour the pano format.
I've cropped this one to the pano format but included the rock.

I prefer the pano version minus rock - but I'd take the version with the rock and be proud of that too! :)

Some people seem to favour the shot minus the rock.
I tend to think it needs to be there to anchor that quadrant.

I guess you pays your money and takes your choice. :)
