OK, I agree, the crane is GREAT! :-) These are just fantastic images. I've got a million construction questions, like, "What are all the little loops sticking out of the concrete wall for?" I really think you could create a marvelous coffee-table book, especially with the detail pictures like the rusty nuts. Also like the welding picture a lot ... and the one looking down the rebar ... and the crane, of course. :-)

those 'little loops' are placed with the rebar to hold the forms together. basically, the forms are put between them and a pin is placed through the hole to hold the forms. this is pretty necessary as the concrete is incredibly heavy and the forms would burst apart if those loops were not in place. as for a coffee table book. i think the only people who would be interested in it would be the project managers in charge of this project. and they'd probably make me pay all the printing/publishing expenses too ;P

Nice series! I like the cracked egg, looks like someone's lunch. CSI can figure out who from the greasy fingerprints.

im pretty sure its a pigeon egg. the macro mode makes it look larger than it really is (about the size of a robins egg). the windows and walls have been open during demolition, so we get a lot of pigeons flying inside. i guess this means some of them nested. Hope we dont destroy them before the chicks can fly away. :)

I really like the natural framing of the first photo. My constructive criticism however: If the lines were straighter, it would be 10x better. Yet, great photos:)
