HERE (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=851339) you stated that your tours were done with out a fisheye lens?

...scratching head...
While your tours are nice, again it's nothing new. Virtual tour photography and image stitching has been around for a long while. With your post, you are making it seem like, one you created this new technology and two this technology is brand spanking new.

Your thread title is "My secret"
Really, what's the big secret? It's virtual tour photography! Virtual tour photography is done (usually) with a fisheye lens or can also be acheived using a wide angle (10-20). The images taken are then stitched using specific software to produce the spherical or 360° image. Those images can then be used in "tour" or "virtual tour" creating software. Where walk through floor plans, hotspots and videos can also be added.

To me it seems your using the board to promote autopano from kolor ?

Your tutorial also includes the size of the RAW file. The size of the file will differ with camera make, model and RAW setting size. Your camera settings may work best for you at those settings. However, those using different setups (40D with Sigma 8mm )will use something more like f/8.

For those interested in learning more about panoramic imaging and virtual tours, Panoguide (http://www.panoguide.com/) offers a great deal of info (and has been doing so for a long time)

Just shooting it straight here and calling it like I'm seeing it. My post is not meant to belittle you or your work in any way. Again, as I stated, your tours are quite nice. Just nothing new.

i'm going to have to forward this to my mother (shes a Realtor) thanks for the tutorial.
Why? She's a realtor not a photographer.
Bet she says Obeo (http://www.obeo.com/Default.aspx) already has her covered ;)

Thanks for the tutorial, I do real estate photography and have been looking into virtual tours.
Run! Don't look back and run from realestate photography.
Please read THIS THREAD (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=843056)

If after reading your still convinced to pursue, you will want to shoot accordingly. No HDR! The agent is paying you out of their pocket and are not interested in quality. Quanity! is what the agent is concered about. No need to spend time in photoshop working on the zenith and nadir. Simply restrict the viewer from going 360°. If interested I can certainly help with your venture. I would look else where (rental properties, hotels, etc) for potential income though ;)

If you choose to go with the properties that pay (rental, hotels, etc.) then yes, you will want to use HDR, correct the zenith and nadir.

Hello
never tell it's new, just sharing this french software I discovered into french forums last month and people asked me last month how to do them so I shared my "secret", I believe this way to build virtual faster and easier than other software...

I am not working for Kolor, I am an affiliate program, they don't have this king of program, just for this budget and the quality of their job, I was thinking to share it is the good idea.

That's it and I think that's the purpose of this great forum, just sharing ideas, wishes, problem... I am making images just since 2 years so you can say I am new in this business.

you should publish more your job, it will interesting to share your knowledge ;-)

have a great day, Thierry
