OK, you've just raised the bar to a level the rest of us will never even get close to! That has to be the best warbird pic I've ever seen! Judging by the DOF, he had to be almost in your lap!

Dont take it so hard Lee. By definition, a Marauder is one that takes you by surprise and gets all the marbles. Seriously though, you have some pretty awesome shots as well. ;)

i'm seriously sitting here with a few thousand photos on my lap.. pics from my film days... and I am shaking my head at how few of them are really cool. I mean... there are a lot of good shots there... but man... some of the pics I've been seeing in this forum make me want to take up some other kind of sport.. like macrame!!

Every once in a while someone posts something on this forum that simply defies comment. Words can't possibly do it justice. I'm think of IanD's Great Grey Owl shots, some of KennyG's work, and a couple others. Add this one to that very short list.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!! I drove 1,133 miles to take that shot... plus a few others..lol.
All I can say is it takes lots of practice and dedication. I've spent a lot of time and money this year going to different air shows. A Thanks should go out to Canon because without my 20D my shots would not be the same. I just have to wonder though, would a 1Dmk2 be even that much more of a camera? Any comments on that?

As for the mkII, really all your getting is faster focus, which it seems you have no trouble with, and 8.5 fps. Yeah I know it weather sealed and all that stuff. I have found the 5fps plenty on the 20D, (wish the buffer was bigger than 6 RAW), and with good technique it has no trouble focusing on an airplane. Heck, Tyson Rininger is still using a 10D!!
I don't think it is worth the $3000 price difference. If I was indepently wealthy then I would probably think different though.
