12-24 Tokina in UK?

Ive been looking around for a Tokina 12-24 as i want a nice wide angle.
Do any UK members know where i could find one?
My searches have drawn a blank.

Andy ... I feel sorry for you fella. These things are as rare as hens teeth in the UK. It was in my top three shortlist with the 20-35 2.8 Tokina I just sold to jfred at the weekend and the Canon 17-40mm L. Couldn't find one new or SH.

You could chance a US/HK import, or go via B&H in the US. Even with VAT and Duty you may just come out with a saving, or what you might have paid new in the UK anyway. I just checked my usual online places and nothing doing.

Was looking at wider than the 17-40, but could be swayed by the L glass.

Yes, looks a bit of an uncertain buy. Scores quite well overall but some aspects of it not so well liked, but probably personal preference rather than lens. Could suit tho'.

At the price they ask for it, esp. as not a 2.8, I'd go for a SH Canon L f4 I reckon. Safe buy and decent resale. Are you sure you need 12mm? I was amazed at what I could get in with my 20-35mm. That was a 2.8 and I think I'd go for one again rather than the SIgma, at least for the same money. That is a very classy lens. B&H import still your best bet for the Tokina tho'.

OK, ill look at the B&H idea. Also keep my eyes open for a 17-40.
Maybe i am being greedy wanting ultra wide ;)

I get all my lenses from B&H in the US, it's much cheaper than here, and often you can't even get the lenses in NZ without ordering them and waiting ages.
