Has anyone run across any info on this?
I tried loading my old ColorVision Sypder with drivers on Windows XP x64bit edition. It failed miserably, obviously because the drivers are written for a 32bit operating system. I contacted ColorVision and response was vague. They said they would be working on 64bit drivers but would give no further info.
Does anyone know of a Monitor Calibration device on the market with drivers for a 64bit operating system?
...or anyother ideas for monitor calibration with this setup?
Thanks
Marty

XP x64bit edition is very new, just a couple of month. When they released it they stated that there were very few device driver ready to be used with it.
This is one of the main reasons that I have not switched to XP x64bit.
I thing just about every vendor that wants to stay in business will be working on new 64bit drivers. But having worked on device drivers it is not as easy as just recompiling the existing code;) It will take some time a a whole bunch of work on their part.

I am using an X-Rite Monaco Optix XR monitor calibrator on a Mac OSX and that is 64-bit. Hope that helps.

Thanks Graham and Steve,
I checked with x-rite and they have no release dates on 64 bit drivers for their products for XP.
CS works great, in 32bit mode of course. I just have to get my colors calibrated. I'll have to keep looking. There's alway adobe gamma.....yeesh...

have you tried to run it under 32 bit emulation? i think xp 64 has an option where you can run 32 bit programs. i think you have to right click on the exe file, go to properties and see if there's a compatability tab. again, im not sure as i dont have windows 64 but its worth a shot.

Create the ICC profile for your monitor under 32 bit XP, then load it under 64 bit XP.
