Hey, just want to share with you all my latest work. This was my first engagement shoot. Minimal post processing was done in Lightroom. My Radiopoppers were not working and I didn't have time to troubleshoot them, so there are some shadows, but I tried to recover them in Lightroom as much as I could. See more shots in the flash gallery here:

Hi, please post some photos in the thread. Most people won't click on links and yours wouldn't open for me.

I'm fairly new at this myself (2 e-shoots under my belt ;)) so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Overall I think you did a good job; you got some really excellent shots ( for me these were #'s 5,16,18 (tho his foot being cut off is a little distracting for me) and 20). There were several other that I like and had potential fo rbeing reall, really goodm but their faces were shadowed, calling for fill light (something I battle with also). But I think you should be proud for your 1st job, you probably learned a lot, and the couple is probably very happy.

Yeah, I had an external flash for fill but my radio poppers went into some weird mode and I didn't have the time to troubleshoot it on site. Thanks for the comments. The couple is definitely pleased!

Will do. The couple didn't want them on a public server, so I didn't want to upload it to my flickr account to post here. I'll just link directly to the files in my server.

I'd prefer if #7 were more of a candid. But now I'm just nitpicking.

I've got some candid ones also, but the wind was super bad and their hair is everywhere.

Thanks for the comments! I'd appreciate any critique of the photos you guys can give as well.

As I said to dche5390, the wind was really bad that day, especially up at the sunset location. I could barely talk to them! They were troopers for enduring through the cold wind!

sun killed you in some of them.

I like 6 the best. Mainly cause I'm jealous that I live in stupid flat lands and can't get landscape shots like that. 8 looks the best for lighting. I also like 3.

be more careful with the sun next time.

WoHoo! Found some great photos here! love the shots, Verent! for #2, i do wish that they looking at each other though. Anna was looking so serious, yet Jackson was smiling facing the camera, just a little annoying...

To be honest, I don't remember exactly what I did. This was all done in Lightroom. Dropped the saturation to nothing, raised the clarity, lowered the exposure and boosted the midtones and shadows (it was slightly over-exposed to begin with), applied vignetting, and probably raised the contrast a lot.
