I've got my 50 in waiting right now. Hopefully a couple of months I'll be posting here with mine. I know there are alot of folks that have done Conurus conversions and just surprised how few post pictures. The pics I've seen are simply outstanding IMO in terms of color and contrast. I've picked up 2 more N-mount and working on finding a 70-200 as well to go for conversion as well.

WooHooo!!! I just got a notice that mine has been shipped! That was pretty fast. Uniquely, I have been questing the "perfect" 50mm and in the process acquired quite a few, such as the 50 1.8, 50 1.4, 50L 1.2, Sigma 50 1.4 and now the N mount Zeiss 50 1.4. Can't wait to do some shooting with all of them before I start selling them off...after all, my wife put her foot down when she found out that I had all of them and what they cost. The Sigma and 50L are the best of the bunch but in certain circumstances, each one stands out against the other. Got my fingers crossed since the examples I have seen from this lens most likely will beat out both...

I'm interested in seeing this! I just got a Contax \ Yashica 50/1.7 but I've heard good things about the N50.

Well... it's a very nice lens. Got it and shot with it. Has the typical "zeiss" look and performs very nicely. Focus is slower than the the Sigma, and the L, but almost deadon for speed with the 1.4 Canon. I was going to start shooting the comparison, but the focus motor on the Canon 1.4 died and is on the way to Canon.... How do you like that? I used the lens a whopping year and put it away and upon returning to the world of use, motor dies. Oh well, when this test is over, I'm selling it and the new owner will get a Canon fresh lens with a 6 month warranty.
That and my friend with the ZE is overseas for a couple of weeks, so hold on, the comparison is coming!
