I'm heading to boston in early june for about 5 days.
i'll heading there to check out harvard med school and see the city.
This is going to be my first time on the east coast other than florida.
i've been so excited that im saving up to buy a 5D2 in time for the trip.
it'd be great if any of you could give me any advice about boston.
what are the must-see places? good photo ops? any tips regarding gear would be nice too.

Hi. I visited Boston last summer for 10 days. Boston is a great city, and there are a lot of photo opportunities - especially if you are into old architecture and American history. I would highly recommend doing part or all of the freedom trail as it will take you to all the historic sites throughout the city. Some of those sites will include Faneuil (Quincy) Market and the nearby Historic North End. Aside the historic attractions, the north end also has some fantastic Italian restaurants and the popular Mike's Pastry.
If you have time, you can check out the museums... I thought the Museum of Fine Arts was awesome but you'll need most of a day to absorb its many exhibits. If you're lucky, take in a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. I'm not much of a baseball fan, but being in Fenway Park for a game was something special.
And of course there is Cheers.. the original which inspired the television show is by Boston Commons park. I took pictures of it, but did not go inside. The food is nothing special.
The subway system in Boston is great and is easy to access all of the above from Harvard.
