Hi all, I'm hoping to make a large print of this photo so I want to make sure I have it looking as good as possible before I spend the $. The original is here (http://home.earthlink.net/~the_one_eleven/original.jpg) and the edited version is here (http://home.earthlink.net/~the_one_eleven/levels_tweaked.jpg). All I did was play with the color levels, it is a very subtle change but I think it makes a difference. I feel like the ground still looks a tad washed out, but any more adjustments to improve the ground end up making the jumpers look too dark.

Any advice?

And yes, I do plan on getting rid of the sensor dust spots before I print... right now I'm just looking for advice on the color levels.

Thanks! :D

look great for my eyes, i like t he angle, as for the colours.. the only way you could make it better, is to havea clearer day - givin the clouds, it looks great..
is that cloud of "sensor dust spots" in the top of the image? i'd photoshop them out, to me it looks like reflections from a window or something.

I'd leave the clouds, but you definitely have some goobers or lens flare that you need to take care of, then it will be perfect. I made an edit (http://plan-b.smugmug.com/photos/28396746-L.jpg) with arrows pointing to the problem areas. Just use it as a reference, and fix your version.

You have a sensor in need of cleaning.

I think the levels look fine, but only your printer knows for sure!
Nice shot! If you try it again, maybe a bit wider lens & closer to get a bit more perspective?

Nice picture but I still don't know why people jump out of airplanes.

I have become a contrast and saturation junky. I'd up the contrast a bit.

I agree. I counted 3 dust bunnies. Nothing a little clone tool action won't fix ;)

Anyway, it's nothing compared to the 20+ dust spots I had to deal with in this other photo! I spent hours in photoshop on that one!

Nice picture but I still don't know why people jump out of airplanes.:lol:I'm not sure yet either, but I think there may be a problem with the plane. They keep leaving the door open and I keep falling out...
