I'm not sure what this bird is, maybe a Cormorant? I loved his green eyes! Comments appreciated as usual.

Oh yes, that's a cormorant all right. Nice shot, too.

Someone recently posted a headshot of a cormorant, green eyes and all... Hmm, can't find it, but we have a ton of cormorant shots on the forum.

Yep a double crested cormorant to be specific:D .

Nice shot, Becca! I saw my first (double-crested) cormorant here this spring - didn't know we even had them. I love the way they swim halfway submerged.

Cormorants are great birds. I have seen them used as fishing tools in China, where they are collared so cannot swallow the birds, but must spit them out. Cruel, but interesting to see.

Great capture Becca! I good web-friend of mine, Judy Malloch from the former "Nature Photogallery" site has a nice shot of a cormorant perching on her website. You might like to check out her bird gallery in particular. Her work is fantastic!
