I took over 100 photos of people at a party. Two or three really stood out to me and I was wondering your thoughts on composition, possibly cropping or using PS to clean them up.

Here is the first - shot with the G2.

I like #1 better because of the unique composition and perspective. Number two would be better if there was just a little more of the person on the far left in the print and the sign behind the middle person is distracting. You could clone out the sign and possibly crop in tighter on the two people to the right.

I still think these are really good shots and convey a sense of style, especially #1!

Thanks for the comment. I tried to capture everyone who came to the party and took really tight shots of them. They were very receptive.

I'll try cropping the second one as you said and clone out the sign. I never thought of cropping out the man on the left and tried cropping out the lady. I liked the two older gents. But now that I think of it, that's father and daughter on the right and cropping out the man on the left would be good.

Good start. Sharpening would help, & focus on the eyes next time. ;-)

Love the sign on the wall in #2. Composition in both pictures help hold the interest.
