I have just started to upload photos to getty and a german stock photo page (bildmaschine).
Would have been great if there was a sticky thread for stock photo here, since it is a branch of photography that are growing quickly, are mostly done by amateurs and includes alot of tricky (small written) stuff to be aware of.
Would be great to hear if there is more people here that are selling stock photo? If there is anyone that would like to share their experience and best advice for noobs, i would be very thankful. And I gues that other members here would be glad to.

Do a search and you'll find plenty.
I sell some of my work on Alamy, and it does pretty well for me.

Thanks Chris, I have searched the forum, but it is not so easy to find things. There is some good discussion threads that are showing the advantage and disadvantage of stock photo.
When you search you easily end up with lots of posts with titles that are not necesary about stock photo, or the post is to old to be relevant. It is also a matter of choosing the right search word to end up with the right thing. As a beginner you are not necesary knowing what to search for. The terminology is by me almost unknown. Thats a noob problem. To google it gives me also answers and I do it, and have learned alot.
But it would have been great to have FAQ or Sticky post with some of the main questions. It would also have been great to have a stock area here, like a place to post pictures to get feedback on them out of a stock photo point of view. A forum is about getting connected with other people with same interests, and that are struggeling with the same issues. I know that there is some stock photo forum out there, but I would prefer to stay in one photo forum...
I think I open a thread later this week and try to gather the URLs relevant for this subject, and write down my growing experience with stock photo. Out of a noobs perspecive.... That could mybe help others.
