I am going to post a picture from my first newborn session! Yay! He is two weeks old here! I just opened up photoshop CS4 and Lightroom 2 so I have no idea what I am doing. I downloaded an action called PowderRoom and used it on the image. I used the healing brush to clean up scratches on his face and stray string from the hat. I did not adjust anything else such as white balance or sharpen. Only what was done in the action.

I would appreciate C&C as I want to get better. If you have any tips on editing please let me know! I wanted more of a pop and a creamier skin tone.

Love the angle...it looks pretty good put does lack a little pop. I softened the skin a tad and add a little warming....

That does look better. Do you mind telling me how you did it? I'm just starting with Photoshop and Lightroom so any instructions would be great so I can learn how to do it.

I increased the exposure and contrast.......you can always try the Auto Levels adjust first...sometimes that will do the trick and you don't have to play around so much. I have a Skin softening program (that I paid extra for) in the CS4 and I used the Magic Powder brush to smooth the skin as well.
